In a bold directive to troops, Defence Minister Badaru Abubakar announced that President Bola Tinubu is committed to supplying “everything needed” to end Katsina State’s relentless security crisis.
The announcement came Friday as Abubakar addressed 17 Brigade soldiers at Gurbin Baure, near the Katsina-Zamfara border.
Commending recent progress, the minister conveyed Tinubu’s gratitude and urged troops to intensify their crackdown on banditry.
“President Tinubu is ready to provide all support necessary to eliminate insecurity,” Abubakar affirmed, stirring soldiers with a rallying question: “Are you ready to finish them off?”
The Defence Minister also highlighted strategic improvements along notorious routes like Zaria-Gusau and Gusau-Jibia, noting enhanced troop deployments.
Accompanied by Major General Oluyinka Soyele and 17 Brigade Commander Brigadier General B.O. Omopariola, Abubakar underscored the administration’s focus on restoring peace and security across Katsina and beyond.
