Katsina, March 15, 2025 – In a swift and coordinated operation, the Katsina State Police Command, led by CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, in collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC), thwarted a planned bandit attack on Dan Takuri village, Danmusa LGA.
Acting on credible intelligence from DSS operatives in Danmusa, security forces stormed Maijele Mountain, where the armed bandits had assembled. A fierce gun battle ensued, leading to the neutralisation of one suspected bandit, while others fled with gunshot wounds.
Recovered from the scene were:
One AK-47 rifle with three rounds of ammunition, A red unregistered Boxer motorcycle, 50 wraps of suspected Indian hemp, 32 bottles of soft drinks and a cutlass and dangerous drugs
CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa commended the operatives for their bravery and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to crushing criminal elements. He urged the public to remain vigilant and provide timely intelligence to security agencies.
