Troops of Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have intercepted a herd of cattle reportedly found grazing on and allegedly destroying farmlands in Dogon Daji village, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident occurred at about 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, during a routine farm patrol by troops deployed at Sabon Gida.

According to security sources, the soldiers encountered the herd while the cattle were allegedly grazing on cultivated farmlands in the community.

The troops subsequently moved the animals to a safe location for further necessary action.

The intervention is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to prevent farmer-herder conflicts, protect agricultural activities and promote peaceful coexistence among communities in the area.

The operation also underscores the security agencies’ continued efforts to respond swiftly to situations capable of triggering tensions between farmers and herders.
