A tragic incident has reportedly claimed the life of a 100-level Cybersecurity student of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) following an alleged assault by cadets of the Man O’ War organization.
According to reports, the student was arrested by the cadets over an allegation involving the theft of ₦13,000.
Witnesses and sources familiar with the incident alleged that he was subjected to hours of torture while in custody.
The student reportedly collapsed after the alleged assault and later died, sparking outrage among students and members of the public. The incident has triggered calls for a thorough investigation and accountability for those involved.
