Embrace Innovation: Tech Savvy Women Lead Business Surge

The need for women operating their businesses to embrace new innovations and technology in their business activities in order to achieve success has been stressed.

A Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration , Ahmadu Bello University , Zaria , Dr. B. S Zailani gave the advice in Kaduna during a training and sensitization workshop, organized by First City Moment Bank ( FCMB) in conjunction with African Development Bank under She ventures .

Speaking at the capacity building workshop with the theme: ” The Suitability Advantage Driving Profitability in Challenging times”, Dr. Zailani said that women should move from traditional business to modern business by taking advantage of technology and innovations.

He urged them to leverage on awareness creation online and email marketing and search engine to enhance their business opportunities.”

Also speaking, the Kaduna Zonal Head , FCMB, Rita Aghware said that the aim of the training was to sensitize and trian women on importance of doing business and how to improve in their business.

According to her, the training would impact on women businesses and open partnership with who want partner and also seeking partnership with those that would like to partner with them.

She said that the training would also give women opportunity on how to get zero percent interest loan that would help them on how expand their businesses.

“She said that after the training women would be equipped with greater understanding on how to manage their businesses effectively”

Aghware noted that the training would expose women with relevant tips on how to be doing international businesses and called on women to sperate their business account with their personal funds.

On her part, the Community and Marketing Manager of FCMB , She Ventures , Yewande Bello disclosed that they would empower women on SMEs , adding that the programme had four(4) pillars including access to finance, access to knowledge, access to networking and access to market.

She added that the programe would equally help women entrepreneurs, create network and hope for them with knowledge that would help their businesses to grow beyond their imagination.

According to her, the programme had already impacted about 700 to 800 women in the Northern region of the country.

She explained that the programe would help in giving technical assistance to She ventures that would help in empowering women and bring women that were in informal sector to formal sector.”
