Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have rescued a woman abducted by suspected kidnappers in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, while intensifying efforts to track down another victim still in captivity.
The victims, identified as Mr. Isah Ndal and Mrs. Cecilia Isah, were kidnapped in Nhantina Village, Mbar District, prompting troops of Sector 5, Operation Enduring Peace, to launch a search operation across the surrounding area.
A military security source told Zagazola Makama that the troops, at about 2:40 a.m. on August 16, 2026, located and rescued Mrs. Cecilia Isah during the ongoing operation.
Following her rescue, the victim was debriefed by security personnel and subsequently reunited with her family.
However, troops have continued to comb the area in a renewed effort to locate and rescue Mr. Isah Ndal, who remains missing.
The development comes as Operation Enduring Peace sustains patrols, search operations and security presence across vulnerable communities in Plateau State, with troops working to deny criminal elements safe havens and protect residents from further attacks and abductions.
