‘Tinubu Govt Making Too Many Mistakes’ — Lawal Daura

Borno State Government

By Abdullahi Inuwa

Former Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, has criticised the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alleging that the administration has committed several avoidable errors since taking office.

Daura, who is the Vice-Presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), described some of the government’s actions as mistakes that could have been prevented with better judgment and coordination.

Speaking on the state of governance and the political situation in the country, Daura said the administration’s handling of certain issues had raised concerns among Nigerians.

According to him, the government must take responsibility for its shortcomings and learn from its mistakes rather than allow political considerations to overshadow good governance.

Daura’s comments add to the growing debate over the performance of the Tinubu administration, particularly on its economic policies, governance decisions and the management of public expectations.

The APM chieftain urged leaders to place the interests of Nigerians above personal or political considerations, stressing that effective leadership requires accountability, transparency and the courage to correct mistakes.

His remarks are expected to generate further reactions as political parties and stakeholders intensify their scrutiny of the Federal Government ahead of the next political cycle.
