Tragedy struck during the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage as a Nigerian pilgrim reportedly died at Muzdalifah in Saudi Arabia shortly after returning from Arafat.
The deceased, said to be a male pilgrim from Bauchi State, reportedly passed away in the early hours of Wednesday during the overnight movement of pilgrims from Arafat to Muzdalifah.
Sources familiar with the pilgrimage exercise disclosed that the incident occurred amid the intense spiritual rites marking one of the most significant stages of the annual Hajj.
Authorities are yet to officially release full details surrounding the pilgrim’s death, while fellow pilgrims have continued prayers for the repose of his soul.
