Katsina Remand Home Receives Palliative Rice as Distribution Nears Completion

The Committee for the Distribution of Federal Government Rice Palliatives has disbursed 20 bags of 25kg rice to Katsina Remand Home in the state capital. Secretary to the Government of the State, Barrister Abdullahi Garba Faskari, who chairs the committee, stated that the disbursement followed Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s directive to prioritize the most vulnerable.

Faskari revealed that the distribution marks the final phase of the state’s allocation of 24,000 rice bags from the Federal Government. The palliatives, including a surplus of 40 bags given to ATA’AWANU Foundation and the Remand Home, were delivered across multiple levels.

The officer in charge of the Remand Home, Malam Aliyu Galadima, expressed gratitude for the support from both the state and federal governments.
