IGP’s Welfare Scheme: CP Musa Delivers ₦27M to Families of Fallen Officers

In a heartfelt gesture on October 11, 2024, the Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, presented a total of ₦27,485,644.79 to the families of police officers who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty.

The sum was distributed to 36 beneficiaries under the Group Life Insurance, Group Personal Accident, and IGP Family Welfare Insurance schemes.

CP Musa expressed deep appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for his unwavering support towards the families of the fallen heroes, recognizing the supreme sacrifices made by the officers.

He urged the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely, ensuring that the welfare of their families is secured, while also offering prayers for the peaceful rest of the deceased.

One of the beneficiaries, Najib Ibrahim, speaking on behalf of the recipients, expressed gratitude to the IGP for the timely assistance, vowing to make prudent use of the funds.

This act of compassion highlights the IGP’s commitment to the welfare of officers and their families, ensuring that those left behind are not forgotten.
