Tension briefly flared in Ikire, Osun State, on Saturday as security operatives confronted a serving member of the Osun State House of Assembly over the presence of a large gathering of voters at a private residence.
The incident, captured in a video now circulating widely on social media, involved Abiola Ibrahim, who represents the Irewole/Isokan Constituency in the state legislature.
In the footage, security personnel are seen questioning the lawmaker after reportedly discovering a sizeable group of intending voters gathered at the residence in the Ikire area.
The encounter has sparked fresh concerns over activities surrounding the ongoing Osun governorship election, particularly the gathering of voters at private locations during the voting exercise.
