In a pivotal announcement on Monday, Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of the $20 billion Dangote Refinery, confirmed that petrol production will now commence in mid-July instead of June.
Speaking to journalists, Dangote attributed the shift to a minor delay, ensuring that the first batch of PMS will be available in the market by the third week of July.
“We had a bit of delay, but PMS will start coming out by 10 to 15 of July,” he stated.
“We want to keep it in tank to make sure that it settles.”
