The North-West Zone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed to sustain its record of delivering the highest bloc of votes for the party’s presidential candidate and ensure total victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The position was contained in a communique issued after the zone’s maiden meeting held at the North-West Zonal Secretariat, Kaduna.
The meeting, the first since the APC Zonal Congress of March 25, 2026, was chaired by the National Vice Chairman, North-West, Hon. Garba Datti Muhammad.
According to the statement signed by the Zonal Publicity Secretary, Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada, the meeting focused on strategies to consolidate the zone’s position as the leading contributor of votes to any presidential candidate since 1999.
Members resolved to collaborate with all critical stakeholders in the zone to secure victory for President Tinubu, the seven APC governors in the North-West, and the party’s National and State Assembly candidates in 2027.
The Garba Datti-led Zonal Executive adopted what it described as a “campaign of fact” as its advocacy model. The approach will highlight the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu based on dividends of democracy delivered to the North-West, including infrastructure, education, health, security, and projects executed by the North West Development Commission established under the Tinubu administration.
The zone also pledged to maintain the peaceful atmosphere that has kept the party united and to remain vigilant in mending any cracks that may emerge ahead of the 2027 elections. The Zonal Secretariat said it is prepared to counter misinformation from the opposition aimed at demarketing the APC.
In attendance at the meeting were newly elected and re-elected zonal officers, including Zonal Secretary Hon. Isah Sadiq Achida, Zonal Legal Adviser Barrister Bashir Usaini Dutse, Zonal Organizing Secretary Hon. Salisu Uba Tsafe, Zonal Youth Leader Hon. Abdulhamid Umar Ahmed, Zonal Women Leader Hajiya Hadiza Alhaji, Zonal Leader of Persons Living with Disabilities Hon. Dahiru Gambo Rafin Dadi, and Zonal Publicity Secretary Malam Musa Mailafiya Mada.
