Cityboy women affairs director swears In women leaders in Sokoto

Borno State Government

From Salim Ashir

The Director of Women Affairs of the Cityboy Movement in Sokoto State and Special Adviser to the Sokoto State Governor on Poverty Reduction, Hajiya Sa’adatu Muhammad Yunusa, has said the movement was intensifying efforts to mobilise support and strengthen unity among members ahead of future political activities.

Sa’adatu stated this during a women affairs engagement meeting organised by the movement in Sokoto.

She said the gathering was not about leadership positions but aimed at bringing people together and creating awareness about the movement and its objectives.

According to her, no movement can succeed without unity and collective effort.

“We are here to bring people together because nobody can do it alone. Success can only come when people work together,” she said.

As part of activities during the meeting, women leaders from the three senatorial zones and the 23 local government areas of Sokoto State were sworn in.

Sa’adatu, who presided over the event as a Barrister, administered the oath to the newly inaugurated leaders and urged them to remain committed to the goals of the movement.

She said the movement had also developed strategies to involve more women and youths, describing them as important players in grassroots mobilisation.

She further called on members and supporters to continue working together to strengthen the movement across the state.
