The General Manager of Yobe State Flour and Feed Mills, Engineer Hauwa Sule Mamudo, has intensified efforts to revive the state-owned company by seeking strategic support and guidance from the Chairman of Potiskum Local Government, Alhaji Salisu Mukhtari.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the chairman at the Potiskum Local Government Secretariat, Engineer Mamudo described the engagement as part of a broader stakeholder consultation aimed at repositioning the flour and feed mill as a key driver of economic growth in Yobe State.
She said the council chairman’s wealth of leadership experience and grassroots understanding would be invaluable in charting a sustainable path for the company. According to her, the renewed vision for the mill is to strengthen agricultural value chains, create jobs, boost local food production, and contribute significantly to the state’s economy.
Engineer Mamudo appealed for meaningful advice and collaboration from the local government, stressing that partnerships with critical stakeholders are essential to restoring the mill’s productivity and long-term viability.
Responding on behalf of the chairman, the Vice Chairman of Potiskum Local Government, Alhaji Ado Hamza Ngojin, commended the General Manager for taking proactive steps to revive the company.
He assured her of the council’s readiness to provide constructive guidance and work closely with the management to ensure the successful transformation of Yobe State Flour and Feed Mills for the benefit of residents and the state’s agricultural sector.
