Troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with members of the Hybrid Force, have arrested two suspected Boko Haram informants and collaborators in Beni Sheik town, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State.
The arrest followed credible intelligence reports linking the suspects to alleged terrorist activities in the area.
Security sources disclosed that the operation was carried out at about 2:00 p.m. on November 1, 2026, by troops of the 29 Task Force Brigade, Guards Battalion, operating under Sector 2.
The suspects were identified as Bukar Usman, 30, and Ladan Modu, 25, both apprehended in Beni Sheik town during the intelligence-led operation.
According to the sources, the two men were subsequently taken into military custody for further investigation to establish the nature and extent of their alleged involvement with Boko Haram terrorists.
The arrest underscores ongoing military efforts to disrupt terrorist networks, particularly their intelligence-gathering and information-sharing channels, as security operations continue across Borno State.
The military is expected to investigate the suspects further as part of efforts to identify and dismantle possible terrorist support networks in the region.
