The troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have foiled Lakurawa terrorists attack in Magonho community of Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto state.
A reliable source from the security operatives disclosed the operational success to the Newsmen on Sunday in Sokoto.
The source, who pleaded for anonymity said the incident occured on June 4, adding that a civilian had sustained injury as a result of gunshot during the encounter.
The credible source further disclosed that the vigilance and quick response of troops saved lives and properties.
The source reiterated that active measures were ensured to protect lives and properties stressing the need for more community members support.
Meanwhile, the troops of 8 Division of Nigerian Army Sokoto have foiled bandits attack at Forward Operation Based (FOB) in Tidibale village in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto state.
A credible security source said the incident occured on June 4, adding that two kidnapped farmers were rescued and the victims have been taken to the general hospital Isa for treatment.
The source further disclosed that the vigilance and quick response of troops saved lives and properties.
The source reiterated that proactive measures were ensured to protect lives and properties stressing the need for more vigilance by farmers.
