Tinubu Huddles APC Governors in Aso Rock After Urgent Senate Talks

Borno State Government

Barely hours after an emergency engagement with Senate leadership, President Bola Tinubu convened a crucial meeting with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the State House, Abuja, signaling high-level consultations at the heart of government.

The closed-door session, initially slated for 4 p.m. at the Council Chamber, was delayed and later shifted to the President’s office conference room, where deliberations commenced around 5 p.m.

Among governors present were Babagana Zulum (Borno), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Peter Mbah (Enugu), and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), alongside other APC heavyweights.

Though details of the meeting remain under wraps, the timing—coming on the heels of Tinubu’s urgent interface with Senate leaders—has fueled speculation of key political and governance decisions shaping the administration’s next moves.
