Funeral prayers have been held for residents killed during a deadly bandit attack on Yan Kamaye community in Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The victims were laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites amid grief and mourning across the community following the tragic incident.
Families, sympathisers, and community members gathered in large numbers to offer prayers for the deceased and console bereaved relatives.
The attack, which left several residents dead, has sparked fresh concerns over insecurity affecting rural communities in parts of northern Nigeria.
Prayers were offered for Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the victims, shower them with mercy, and grant them Aljannatul Firdausi.
Community leaders also called for intensified security measures to prevent further attacks and protect vulnerable communities from armed bandits.
