KATSINA — The Katsina Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), RS1.3, has decorated 46 of its personnel recently promoted to various ranks, in recognition of their career advancement and contributions to road safety operations.
The decoration ceremony, held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Command’s permanent office conference hall in Katsina, was presided over by the Sector Commander, CC Ali Hinna Ibrahim.
The event brought together senior officers, personnel of the command, family members, friends and other well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the beneficiaries of the promotions.
A breakdown of the newly decorated personnel showed that 13 officers were elevated to different ranks, comprising three Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC), one Chief Road Commander (CRC), two Senior Road Commanders (SRC), two Road Commanders (RC) and five Deputy Road Commanders (DRC).
Similarly, 33 Marshals were decorated across various ranks, ranging from Principal Marshal Inspector (PMI) to Road Marshal Assistant I (RMA I).
The ceremony provided an opportunity for the command to commend the newly promoted personnel while urging them to see their new ranks as greater responsibilities rather than merely rewards for past service.
Goodwill messages were delivered by the Special Guest and other dignitaries at the event, with speakers congratulating the beneficiaries and encouraging them to uphold discipline, professionalism and commitment in the discharge of their duties.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks delivered by the most senior ACC present, Ibrahim Abdurrashid, who expressed appreciation to the command, families, friends and guests for their support in making the occasion a success.
