In a major breakthrough, security forces have rescued 17 kidnapped victims in Kaduna following a coordinated non-kinetic operation led under the guidance of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the victims, abducted on March 3, 2025, from Sarkin Fawa in Niger State, were freed at about 4:30 p.m. on April 9 after intense pressure and intelligence efforts forced the kidnappers to release them.
Among the rescued are both adults and minors, including William Ubadia, Samuel Ezekiel, and children aged one to 13 years—such as Favour Ezekiel (1), Jessy Friday (6), Sunday Ezekiel (8), and Duza Ezekiel (13).
All 17 victims were immediately taken to a medical facility in Kaduna for evaluation and were confirmed to be in stable condition. Authorities say arrangements are underway to reunite them with their families.
The successful rescue operation underscores the growing effectiveness of strategic, intelligence-driven approaches in tackling Nigeria’s security challenges.
