Senator Shehu Buba Umar has assured that he would support whoever aspirant that emerge winner in the forthcoming All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary elections for Bauchi state, while remaining loyal to the party.
The contact and mobilization committee of Senator Shehu Buba Umar led by Abubakar Mohammed Sade gave this assurance at a press conference Monday in Bauchi, saying the senator is ready to give whoever is the winner every support towards the general elections.
The chairman who was flanked by the committee secretary, Barrister Mukhtar during the press conference recalled, “You will agree with us that Senator Shehu Buba is a politician who has been contesting in so many posts, especially House of Representatives in Toro LGA where he could not make it on three occasions”.
“And it is on record, his antecedence was that each point in time he couldn’t make it, he shows his own support to whoever that won the primary election to the general elections. So he would continue with his stock in trade, his attitude of statesmanship and be loyal to the party, not been so parochial and selfish to concentrate on his own policy ambition”.
Alh. Abubakar Mohammed Sade said however that they were presenting a credible, competent and people’s oriented aspirant for the 2027l elections in Bauchi state, whom they have every confidence of winning elections.
Sade explained that Senator Shehu Buba’s vision for a more prosperous and united Bauchi state aligns perfectly with the aspirations of its people, hence the committee’ s members resolve to collectively raise the sum of N50 million for the purchase of the aspirant’s APC governorship nomination form.
Alh. Abubakar Mohammed Sade said that the gesture is not merely financial, but also symbolic, representing their total confidence in Senator Buba’s leadership capacity, his proven tract records, accessibility to the grassroots and unwavering commitment to the welfare of people.
“Senator Shehu Buba Umar has over the years demonstrated examplary leadership, legislative competence, and deep understanding of the challenges facing Bauchi state”, he said.
Sade added, “Our decision is also rooted in the need to reposition our dear state for sustainable development, economic growth, improved infrastructure, quality education, enhanced healthcare delivery, and inclusive governance”
Alh. Abubakar Sade expressed the believe that with Senator Shehu Buba Umar at the helm of affairs, Bauchi state would witness purposeful leadership driven by integrity, accountability and guinea passion for service.
He therefore called on all APC members across the state, party leaders, stakeholders, youths and women support groups, and all well meaning citizens of Bauchi state to rally round this noble course and give their full support to Senator Shehu Buba Umar in the forthcoming party primaries and the general elections.
Abubakar Sade assured that their decision was reach through an inclusive democratic process reflecting the true wishes of the people of Bauchi state, and reaffirmed their commitment to the unity strength and victory of APC in the state and beyond.
