Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has emerged winner of the Shongom Local Government primary election, securing 245 votes.
Pantami defeated his two challengers, Khamisu Mailantarki, who polled 47 votes, and Usman Garry, who received 15 votes.
A total of 307 votes were cast in the primary election.
Results:
- Isa Ali Pantami — 245 votes
- Khamisu Mailantarki — 47 votes
- Usman Garry — 15 votes
- Total — 307 votes
The result places Pantami as the winner of the Shongom primary, subject to the formal declaration and confirmation by the relevant party authorities.
