According to reports, the arrests followed an intensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death, with detectives tracing massive financial transactions exceeding ₦2 billion to a suspect’s bank account.
Security sources said the discovery has widened the scope of the investigation, raising fresh questions about the origin of the funds and possible links to criminal activities.
The three NSCDC officers are currently in police custody and are assisting investigators as authorities work to unravel the events leading to their colleague’s death and the financial trail uncovered during the probe.
