November 28, 2016, marks one of football’s darkest hours as Brazilian club Chapecoense faced unimaginable tragedy.
En route to the Copa Sudamericana Final in Colombia, their chartered plane, LaMia Flight 2933, crashed near Medellín, cutting short the dreams of a rising football team.
Of the 77 souls on board, only six survived—three players, two crew members, and one journalist. The crash claimed 71 lives, including players, coaches, and staff, leaving the world of sports in mourning.
