The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Cooperative and Credit Society has held its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), showcasing major achievements, financial growth, and welfare-driven initiatives for members.
The meeting, held at the Command Conference Hall in Katsina, reviewed the Society’s activities, successes, challenges, and financial reports for the 2025 fiscal year which ended in March 2026.
Speaking at the event, the State Commandant of NSCDC Katsina Command, Commandant of Corps AD Moriki, who also serves as Patron of the Cooperative Society, praised the leadership for introducing interest-free loans and other welfare strategies aimed at improving members’ wellbeing.
Moriki described the Cooperative’s performance as outstanding, noting that its transparency and accountability drive had been strengthened with the unveiling of a dedicated website for members.
“The impressive achievements of the Katsina NSCDC Cooperative Society are highly commendable. The success recorded has even inspired my willingness to join the Cooperative,” he said.
He urged the leadership to continue exploring innovative financial strategies that would deliver more benefits to members, adding that the Cooperative had continued to grow from strength to strength.
Earlier, the President of the Cooperative Society, CSC Aliyu Jamilu BK, appreciated the State Commandant for his guidance and support, while highlighting key achievements and challenges recorded during the period under review.
Aliyu also announced the launch of the Cooperative’s official website, explaining that members would now be able to access membership forms, savings details, and other relevant information online.
The AGM also featured presentation of awards to outstanding members, recognition of the longest-serving member, highest saver, and a member who had never collected a loan, alongside the sharing of profits among members.
