Brave operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have foiled a deadly bandit attack on Unguwar Bido and Unguwar Kanawa villages in Dandume, arresting one suspect and rescuing injured residents after a fierce late-night gunfight.

The attack, which unfolded around 10:00 p.m. on April 28, saw heavily armed bandits storm the communities, triggering a swift response led by the Divisional Police Officer. Tactical teams moved in quickly and engaged the assailants in an intense exchange of fire, forcing them to retreat in disarray with possible casualties.

Amid the chaos, one suspected bandit was captured, marking a significant breakthrough in the operation. However, two residents sustained gunshot injuries during the ആക്രമation and were immediately rushed for medical treatment. Authorities say both victims are responding positively.
