Massive Turnout as Buni Tours Yobe APC Presidential Primary Polling Units

Borno State Government

Governor Mai Mala Buni, who served as the Returning Officer for the Yobe State All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primary Election, on Friday toured several polling units across the state to monitor the conduct of the exercise amid impressive voter turnout.

Speaking to journalists shortly after inspecting the voting centres, Governor Buni expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the primary and commended party members for their orderly participation.

The governor attributed the massive turnout witnessed across the state to the growing enthusiasm of Nigerians towards sustaining democratic governance and strengthening the nation’s electoral process.

Buni also praised the commitment shown by APC supporters, especially youths and women, whose large presence at the polling units underscored widespread participation in the exercise.

He called on residents and party faithful to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and united in their determination to ensure victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the success of the primary election reflects the party’s strength, unity, and grassroots acceptance in Yobe State.

At all the polling centres visited, voters were seen trooping out in large numbers to cast their ballots in an atmosphere described as calm and orderly, with security personnel maintaining surveillance to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
