Katsina State Wraps Up Screening for School Feeding Cooks as Programme Set to Resume

Katsina State Social Investment Programme Agency (KASIPA) has successfully completed its state-wide screening exercise for cooks under the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme. Dr. Mudansir Nasir, Executive Director of KASIPA and the State Coordinator of the programme, led the inspection across all Local Governments in the state’s three senatorial zones.

Dr. Nasir emphasized that the re-introduction of the school feeding programme demonstrates the commitment of the Federal and Katsina State Governments to alleviating the current economic hardship. He urged the cooks to maintain strict hygiene and serve nutritious meals to the pupils.

The screening exercise aimed to revalidate the data of the cooks as the programme gears up for resumption. Dr. Nasir praised Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for ensuring logistical support and commended the cooks for their cooperation.

Education Secretaries from all 34 local governments expressed gratitude to Governor Radda and the Federal Government for reviving the programme, noting its positive impact on school attendance. They pledged their full support to ensure the programme’s smooth execution.
