KATSINA — The Katsina State Government has approved the recruitment of 105 health personnel to fill vacancies created by workers who recently exited the state public service.
The recruitment, approved under the administration of Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the state’s healthcare system and improve manpower across health facilities.
The announcement was contained in a public notice dated September 29, 2026, and signed by the General Manager of the Katsina State Health and Medical Services Management Board (KTHSMB), Dr. Muhammad Nazir Shehu.
According to the notice, applications are open to qualified candidates for various professional and technical positions within the health sector.
The vacancies include Medical Officers and Consultants, Radiographers, X-Ray Technicians, Dental Therapists, Dental Technicians, Nurses and Midwives, as well as Medical Laboratory Scientists and Technicians.
Other positions advertised are Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, and Nutritionists.
The state government said the recruitment is specifically aimed at replacing personnel who have left the service, while supporting efforts to maintain adequate staffing across healthcare facilities.
Under the eligibility conditions, applicants are required to be indigenes of Katsina State, with the exception of Medical Consultants and Doctors.
Applicants must also be not more than 50 years old as of the closing date and must possess the relevant academic and professional qualifications for the positions being sought.
Where applicable, candidates are expected to provide a current practising licence issued by the appropriate regulatory body.
The Board further stated that successful candidates must be prepared to serve in any health facility under the KTHSMB, depending on the needs and deployment decisions of the Board.
It stressed that securing employment would be subject to candidates successfully passing the prescribed screening and selection process.
The recruitment covers a broad range of healthcare professions, reflecting the government’s stated focus on strengthening human resources and sustaining healthcare delivery across the state.
Interested candidates have been directed to complete their applications online through the KTHSMB Careers Portal at careers.kthsmb.ng.
The deadline for submission is Tuesday, October 6, 2026, by 12 midnight.
Applicants were advised to ensure that all information supplied during the application process is accurate and that relevant academic and professional credentials are properly uploaded.
The Board warned that submission of false or unverifiable information would lead to disqualification.
The latest recruitment initiative comes as the Radda administration continues to place healthcare among its key areas of intervention, with manpower expansion and improvements in health facilities forming part of its broader efforts to enhance access to medical services across Katsina State.
