Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam of Kano State has publicly apologized to National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu over previous accusations of involvement in the emirship crisis.

Addressing the press, Abdussalam clarified that the state government had acted on incorrect information but later, thorough investigations exonerated Ribadu from any links to the dispute.
