Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsinma, Katsina State, has formally matriculated 350 students for the 2025/2026 academic session, with a strong warning on discipline and academic commitment.
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, represented by Muhammad Sani Danmusa, reaffirmed his administration’s focus on education and skills development, describing teaching as the backbone of human capital growth.
He highlighted ongoing investments in infrastructure, staff training, and modern facilities, adding that new programmes have been introduced to equip students with entrepreneurial skills and start-up support, aimed at producing job creators.
The governor also issued a strict directive on attendance, warning that any student with less than 75 percent class participation will be barred from sitting examinations.
In his remarks, the Provost, Ismaila Ado Funtua, charged the new students to uphold discipline, integrity, and excellence, while steering clear of social vices such as drug abuse, cultism, and examination malpractice.
He described matriculation as a defining moment marking the students’ formal entry into academic life, urging them to see education as a vital tool for national development.
