The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has wielded the big stick, expelling several members over alleged misconduct following its National Convention in Abuja.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the decision was reached after delegates overwhelmingly adopted a disciplinary motion against members found to have violated its constitution and core values.
Those shown the exit door include Hon. Leke Abejide, Nafiu Bala Gombe, Kingsley Temitope Ogga, Don Norman Obinna, Kennedy Odion, Clement Ehigiator, Stella Chukwuma, Patrick Ambut, Johny Tovie Derek, Duke Dick, and Elias Adikwu.
The convention, held at the Rainbow Event Centre in Abuja under the leadership of National Chairman, David Mark, ratified the expulsions as part of efforts to restore discipline and strengthen internal democracy within the party.
The ADC declared that the affected individuals have ceased to be members with immediate effect and are free to join any political platform of their choice.
Reaffirming its stance, the party stressed its commitment to accountability, rule of law, and positioning itself as a credible alternative in Nigeria’s political landscape.
