The executive Governor , His Excellency , Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON , Fnipr ( Kauran Daular Usmaniyya ) on behalf of his family, the Government, and the good people of Bauchi State, warmly congratulates the newly elected Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi State Council, Alhaji Isa Garba Gadau of the Bauchi State Television Authority (BATV), and the newly elected Secretary, Ishiyaka Isma’il Wunti of Globe FM, Bauchi on their emergence at the State Council election held today.

The Governor also extends his heartfelt congratulations to all other newly elected members of the State Working Committee and wishes them a successful tenure in office.
Governor Bala Mohammed described the election as an important demonstration of the NUJ’s commitment to democratic principles, unity, professionalism and strengthening of journalism and media practice in Bauchi State.
He commended the members of NUJ Bauchi State Council for their maturity, peaceful disposition and active participation in the electoral process, which contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the election.
The Governor equally applauds the Electoral Committee for its diligence, and commitment to ensuring an orderly exercise, noting that the peaceful transition of leadership reflects the strong democratic culture within the Union.
Governor Bala Mohammed assures the new NUJ leadership of the Bauchi State Government’s continued support and respect for journalists and the media , particularly for their role in promoting good governance, accountability, development and peaceful coexistence.
He extends the hand of friendship, partnership and fraternity of the Bauchi State Government to the new council, expressing his administration’s readiness to work with the new leadership of the NUJ in advancing the interests of the media community and the overall development of Bauchi State.
The Governor urges the newly elected executives to uphold the confidence reposed in them by NUJ members by promoting unity, professionalism, ethical journalism and the welfare of journalists throughout their tenure.
The Governor also assured the newly elected Bauchi State NUJ leadership of his administration’s commitment to the welfare and professional development of journalists in the State . He specifically pledged that the ongoing construction of a new , befitting NUJ Secretariat would be completed and delivered to the union before the end of his tenure. The Governor described the project as part of his administration’s efforts to provide journalists with a conducive and modern environment for carrying out their responsibilities effectively .
While wishing the new leadership a fruitful, peaceful and successful tenure , the Governor looks forward to a stronger and mutually beneficial relationship between the Bauchi State Government and the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
