Katsina State government has set to transform Charanci major Market to international standard setting.
This could be possible through expansion, provision of more infrasturactures and Modern settings.
To this end, the present administration of Malam Dikko Ummaru Radda has proposed a site for the expansion project in the Charanci major Market.
The State proposed to construct Warehouse and Stores in the Market as part of its Rural Access Market Program.
Already, the State government secured available hectors of land for the projects, along Bindawa-Charanci road.
The administration paid money amounting to 37, 416, 190, 79k, to the lands owners to be affected by the projects.
The Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning led by its Commissioner presented the Cheques to (30) beneficiaries in an occasion held at Charanci Local government Secretariat.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Malam Aminu Ibrahim the commissioner said the project is timely considering the economic potential of the Market.
This projects initiated by the present administration of Malam Dikko Ummaru would no doubt improve the living standard of the Market occupants
It will also add value to the Market and advantage to the State Internally Generated Revenue.
By and large, it would serve as preservation room to some Markets across the State, especially Jibia and Mai’adua International Markets.
