The Director General, Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency, Pharm. Gali Sule has on Tuesday,on behalf of the Kano state government, received a donation of a truck from Fidson Healthcare Plc.
This was containing in a statement signed and made available to newsmen by Public Relation officer of DMCSA Malam Farouk Isa.
The Director General said the donation comes at the right time, and it will go a long way to complement Kano state government’s effort of total overhaul of the health sector.
He stressed that the state government, led by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, is according utmost priority to health sector.
Pharma Sule further expressed his happiness to the company for their support, pledging that the vehicle will be used judiciously.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Health and Kano State government, we are wholeheartedly very happy for the support. This donation is very important to us, and the truck is handy,” he revealed.
Handing over the key and documents of the vehicle, the Divisional Manager Fidson Healthcare Plc, Pharm. Jerome Dagun, said the donation is a part of corporate social responsibility from the firm in order to support the state government’s initiatives geared towards the improvement of the health sector.
Speaking at the occasion, Director Pharmaceutical Services, Kano State Ministry of Health, Pharm. Kamilu Mudi Salisu, who spoke on behalf of the Commissioner, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, thanked Fidson Healthcare Plc. for the kind gesture.
He also commended the DG DMCSA for providing the enabling environment for pharmaceutical companies to easily conduct their businesses, calling on other companies to emulate Fidson.
