Former Katsina State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Hajiya Dada Yar’adua, the esteemed matriarch of the Yar’adua family, who passed away at the age of 102.
Describing her as a mother to key figures in Nigerian politics, Yakubu was received by Senator Abdul Aziz Yar’adua upon his arrival to condole with the family.
Yakubu shared his deep sense of loss, stating, “Words cannot tell enough, and tears cannot express enough how empty the world feels without her.”
He praised her as a “jewel of inestimable value” who had an indelible impact on Nigeria through her children, including late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, whose legacy continues to shape the nation.
The former Deputy Governor offered prayers for the repose of her soul and strength for the family during this difficult time, reflecting on the remarkable life Hajiya Dada lived and the void her passing leaves behind.
