Elkanemi Warriors Football Club of Maiduguri reach the quarter finals of Presidential Cup 2024 as Under 17 Football Competition is set to commence in Maiduguri.
Borno State Sports council is in a top gear of preparation for Under 17 Football Competition in the State.
In his unrelentless efforts towards Youths and Sports development under the able leadership of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, Borno State Sports Council is set to organize first edition of Under 17 Football Competition across the state.
The meeting which took place at the Football Association (FA) office in Elkanemi Warriors sports center Maiduguri.
In continuation of preparation during the meeting, Acting Technical Director Borno State Sports Council Innocent Micheal Umoru said ” it’s time for all young talented players in the state to come out and display their skills,talent as well as team work, because it’s their time to show ”
All Football Coaches under the council were told to come forward with the list of their players and for physical screening ahead of the draws for the competition on Sunday 02/June /2024.
Borno State Ministry of Youths and Sports development under the leadership of Comrade Saiina Buba is doing it best in representing the state at all competitions in the country by winning many medals.
It could be recall that Team Borno has never missed any State or National competition in the country since the assumption of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum into office in 2019.
Also the darling Team in the state Elkanemi Warriors defeated 3SC Sunshine Stars of Akure by alone goal at the round of sixteen at the ongoing Presidential Cup 2024 and qualify to the quarter finals in the Country and also have qualified to NNL Super Eight which will be played in Enugu.
