The Acting National Chairman of the factionalized People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umaru Damagum has berated some Nigerian electorates for falling down to inducements to vote bad hands during the 2023 general elections.
Damagum who was reportedly been suspended by a faction of PDP National Working Committee (NWC) wondered how some blindfolded Nigerian electorates collected inducements to vote Bola Ahmed Tinubu onto the presidential seat in the last elections.
Amb. Damagum who was Friday fielding journalists’ questions in Bauchi during a solidarity visit to the chairman of the PDP-Governors Forum, Senator Bala Mohammed, said that those induced blindfolded Nigerians are now learning the bitter lesson of collecting spaghetti and wrappers to vote a candidate during elections.
Fielding journalist question on the hardships Nigerians are now suffering from the governance of the APC administration, Damagum said, “Those electorates that collected spaghetti and wrappers to bring this government into power are feeling it more than anybody else”.
Damagum added, “This should be a lesson to all Nigerians. We should henceforth look for credibility, especially those who are actually proven and tested, those who are ready to govern us, not those say, it’s my time, like they always say, emilekon”.
Ambassador Damagum expressed worrisome that majority of Nigerians continue to experience hardship owing to the bad policies of President Bola Tinubu APC-led federal government
The PDP Chieftain queried, “The APC was never prepared for governance, as it lack any blue print or programme on how to govern, so how do you expect any good to come out from them?
It could be recalled that the PDP Acting National Chairman, Amb. Umaru Ilya Damagun, along with the National Secretary of the party, Samuel Anyanwu were reportedly suspended by a faction of the National Working Committee (NWC) for alleged disloyalty to the party.
