Customs Engages Katsina Students in Anti-Smuggling Crusade

In a bid to strengthen ties with the community and spread awareness about the dangers of smuggling, the Katsina Customs Command, led by Comptroller Abba-Aji Idris, engaged students from Government Pilot Secondary School and Ummaru Musa Yar’adua University in an educational outreach.

Comptroller Idris highlighted the economic harm caused by smuggling and emphasized how Customs revenue contributes to national development. He commended the people of Katsina for their hospitality and cooperation since he took office.

Vice Principal Mal Mas’udu Saeed lauded the initiative as a model of community engagement and responsibility, while students from Ummaru Musa Yar’adua University, represented by Association President Comrade Mubarak Musa, appreciated the insightful discussions on Customs laws, procedures, and their role in border security.

This engagement underscores the Customs Service’s commitment to raising awareness and fostering a safer, economically stable Nigeria.
