A coalition of support groups led by the Bala Wunti Support Organisation has officially obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 Bauchi State gubernatorial election, marking a significant step in Dr. Bala Wunti’s political journey.
The forms were secured on Thursday in Abuja by the Chief Executive Officer of the Bala Wunti Support Organisation, Arch Muktar Jarmajo, who led the coalition responsible for mobilizing the required funds.
According to a statement signed by Chief Communications Officer of Bala Wunti Support Organisation, Abubakar Al-Sadique, Jarmajo described the development as a milestone in Bauchi State’s political history.
He emphasized that Dr. Wunti’s approach to politics represents a clear departure from past leadership shortcomings, and introduces innovative ideas aimed at transforming governance in the state.
According to him, Wunti’s vision prioritizes inclusive governance, ensuring that all segments of society have a voice in decision-making processes while benefiting from meaningful socio-economic development.
He noted that the Bala Wunti electioneering campaign would be driven by practical ideas designed to deliver tangible results and restore public confidence in leadership.
Also speaking, one of the key fundraisers and prominent supporter of Dr Bala Wunti, Alhaji Sirajo Caps, commended contributors for their commitment to the cause.
He highlighted Dr. Wunti’s exceptional leadership qualities as the driving force behind the widespread support, expressing confidence in his ability to reposition Bauchi State.
Alhaji Caps assured the people of Bauchi that, if elected, Bala Wunti would set a new standard for governance, transforming the state into a model of progress, accountability, and innovation.
The coalition reiterated its commitment to advancing a campaign centred on fresh ideas, inclusive participation, and sustainable development, positioning Bala Wunti as a candidate determined to break away from the failures of the past and chart a new course for Bauchi State.
