A deadly feud has rocked the camp of feared bandit kingpin Najaja, following the killing of his younger brother and close ally, Dan’auta, in a fierce clash with rival commander Dullu.

The altercation, which unfolded on Monday, stems from deep-seated animosity between the two factions. Dullu, commanding a formidable militia of over 400 fighters, allegedly acted in retaliation to perceived insults and power moves by Dan’auta, who was Najaja’s second-in-command.

Najaja’s leadership has been contentious since he took over from the late Halilu Sububu, a decision that fractured loyalties within the group. Insiders say tensions have reached a boiling point, with fears of violent reprisals looming large.

Security experts warn that the fallout from this power struggle could intensify bandit activities in the region, as Najaja, reportedly backed by three other brothers in his network, may seek revenge against Dullu’s camp.

Authorities are on high alert, urging local communities to remain vigilant as the bandit empire teeters on the brink of an all-out internal war.
