The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set the stage for the 2027 political showdown, releasing a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the general elections.
The updated roadmap, signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, outlines fresh timelines for key processes including screening, appeals, and primary elections.
According to the party, the revision also provides clear directives on the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, alongside designated bank accounts for all related payments—aimed at ensuring transparency and smooth coordination ahead of the primaries.
In a statement issued in Abuja, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka said the updated schedule reflects the party’s commitment to an orderly and credible electoral process.
The development signals the official kickoff of internal party activities, as aspirants and stakeholders begin positioning for what is expected to be a fiercely contested 2027 general election.
With timelines now reset, political momentum is gathering speed—ushering in a new phase of strategic alignments, consultations, and power plays within Nigeria’s ruling party.
