Yobe State Gov Distributed Multi Million Naira Teaching And Learning Materials To Primary Schools Pupils

It could be recalled, Governor Maimala Buni of Yobe State declared a State of Emergency in the Education Sector, the intend was to build foundation for future generations.

According to him, Education was the bedrock of any meaningful development for a society or nation move to greater Socio – Economic heights.

Buni made the declaration in his inaugural speech to the people at Government House, Damaturu, saying: “I hereby declare a State of Emergency on Primary and Secondary Education in Yobe.

This will enable the State Government build a solid and robust foundation for the advancement of Education in the State.

In an efforts to achieving stated objectives, the Yobe State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), in collaboration with Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), have flagged off the Distribution Ceremony for the Distribution of Teaching and Learning Materials for 2024 – 2025 Intervention in Damaturu, the State Capital.

With the Theme: Empowering the future: equipping every child for Academic Excellent and Sustainable Development.

During the Flagging off Ceremony, Prof. Abba Adam Idris, Commissioner Ministry Of Basic And Secondary Education enjoyed all the 17 Education Secretaries across the 17 Local Government areas to ensure judicious use of the materials provided.

While in his part, the Executive Chairman Yobe State Basic Education Board, Alh. Hassan Umar Babayo, commended the efforts put in place by the State Government towards revitalising the Basic Education Sector.

Babayo equally called on all stakeholders to support Programmes and Policies outlined by the Yobe State Government to facilitate the rejuvinate Basic Education in the state.
