Former Kaduna State Governor, H.E. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (Dallatun Zazzau), has officially thrown his hat into the ring for the Kaduna North Senatorial seat, citing overwhelming calls from constituents and stakeholders across the district.
In a solemn declaration laced with faith and humility, Yero said he accepted the call to serve “by the grace of Allah,” pledging to pursue leadership anchored on justice, fairness, and compassion.
The declaration comes on the heels of a high-powered solidarity visit by Local Government Chairmen from the senatorial district, who unanimously endorsed his candidacy—an endorsement Yero described as a powerful symbol of unity, trust, and shared purpose.
“I am deeply humbled,” he said, acknowledging the confidence reposed in him by both grassroots leaders and the wider Kaduna North electorate. “Leadership is a trust (Amanah), and I accept this responsibility with sincerity and commitment to the service of our people.”
Yero also extended appreciation to Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for what he described as steadfast leadership and dedication to the state’s unity and progress.
Calling for calm, unity, and collective focus, the former governor urged party faithful and residents to rally behind a shared vision for a more inclusive and prosperous Kaduna North.
