In a relentless pursuit against terrorism, the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) achieves another significant victory during its dry season clearance operations in Zamfara state.
On February 28, 2024, OPHD troops conducted a strategic ambush operation at Bayan Ruwa axis, a presumed crossing point for terrorists in Zamfara state. Engaging in a heavy gun duel, the troops compelled the terrorists to flee in disarray, abandoning their captives. The timely response resulted in the safe rescue of 8 kidnap victims.
The gallant troops not only neutralized scores of terrorists but also obliterated their enclaves, asserting dominance in the area through aggressive and confidence-building patrols.
Major General Godwin Mutkut, the Commander of Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI, and General Officer Commanding 8 Division Nigerian Army, commended the troops for their unwavering determination and resilience.
