Residents from several communities in Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State have staged a protest in Tambuwal town, expressing growing concern over the worsening security situation in their communities.
The protesters, who took to the streets to draw attention to the challenges confronting their areas, called on the government and security agencies to urgently intensify efforts to protect lives and property.
They said the deteriorating security situation has heightened fear among residents and called for immediate measures to restore peace and enable communities to go about their daily activities without fear.
The protesters urged the authorities to strengthen security operations across the affected communities, stressing the need for decisive action to address the threats and prevent further deterioration of the situation.
They also appealed for sustained engagement between security agencies, government authorities and local communities to improve intelligence gathering and ensure a more effective response to security threats.
The demonstration underscores growing concern among residents over insecurity in parts of Tambuwal, with the protesters insisting that urgent intervention is needed to safeguard their communities.
