The acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division and Commander of Sector 1 of the Nigeria Army, Brig. Gen. Abubakar Haruna recently visited frontline troops in the notorious Sambisa Forest.
During his visit, he praised the soldiers for their exceptional bravery and effectiveness in a recent 10-day operation that resulted in the elimination of 21 Boko Haram terrorists and the rescue of 386 civilians.
Addressing the troops in Konduga LGA on the outskirts of Sambisa, Gen. Haruna commended the soldiers for their dedication and successful mission, which included destroying several terrorist camps.
He highlighted the significant impact of their efforts on weakening Boko Haram’s stronghold in the region and emphasized the importance of maintaining their momentum to ensure lasting peace and security.
