KANO — Relief swept through the community on Sunday morning as Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo Chiromawa, the Sarkin Noma of Kano State, was brought back home on a motorcycle following his dramatic rescue from bandits who abducted him the previous night.
Chiromawa, who was reportedly taken away by the attackers last night, returned to the community after a joint operation involving Nigerian soldiers and local vigilantes.
The rescue brought an end to the anxious hours that followed his abduction, as residents waited for news of his whereabouts.
The traditional title holder was seen being conveyed into the community on a motorcycle this morning after security personnel and local vigilantes succeeded in locating and rescuing him from his captors.
