Renewed Hope Housing Project Kicks Off in Katsina

Katsina State marked a significant milestone today with the groundbreaking of the 250-unit Renewed Hope Housing Estate, an initiative by the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda lauded the project as a catalyst for economic growth and social development, underscoring its alignment with the state’s vision for inclusive housing.

Radda thanked President Bola Tinubu and the Ministry for their unwavering support, stating, “This project represents a tangible step towards ensuring every citizen has access to decent and affordable housing.

“Housing Minister Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, present at the ceremony, announced the project’s expected completion within three months.

He detailed the housing mix: 50 units of 1-bedroom bungalows, 100 units of 2-bedroom bungalows, and 50 units of 3-bedroom bungalows.

“We have designed these units to allow future expansion as beneficiaries’ incomes improve,” he said.

The project offers flexible ownership options, including single-digit mortgage loans with up to 30-year terms, Rent-to-Own schemes, and outright purchase options.

Dangiwa emphasized the project’s place in a broader national rollout, with similar projects planned for Kano, Yobe, and Gombe.

Today’s event is part of President Tinubu’s vision, initiated with the 3,112-unit Renewed Hope Cities and Estates project in Abuja.

The first phase aims to deliver 50,000 housing units nationwide.

Developers have been warned to adhere to high standards, with substandard work being intolerable.

The Renewed Hope Housing Estate promises a brighter, more inclusive future for Katsina residents.
